Given the idea that I would like to go to Japan on a vision trip, I thought it would be good to start learning some Japanese. After some research I found that Japanese is a hard language to learn. Speaking, reading, and most of all writing can be difficult. Grammar is very different from ours in the USA. After doing some research I found the Japanese equivalent to my name. Deiru is how you read my name in Japanese. The picture you see is my name in sans-serif text using Katakana characters. I found this name by gong to this Japanese Translator web page. More information will come as I try to learn this interesting and difficult language.

Life in the fast lane
Time goes by so fast. Looking back at my childhood I realize my influence in missions may have as simple as the East Asia exchange students we had around the house. I have memories of a student from Japan that could play the Piano with exceptional talent. My prayer for her is that she would come to the realization that God gave her that talent. As I look forward to a vision trip to Japan I yearn for the direction in my life. Soon I will be working on the basic itinerary for the vision trip. Please pray that God would start to prepare the financial support needed take this vision trip.

Prayers for Vision Trip
Many of you who read this blog or know me will find that I have never been on a missions trip. After working here at Overseas Missionary Fellowship International for almost a year, I find myself wondering what other cultures are really like. Lately I have felt an urge to visit a country to see what things OMF is doing in East Asia. I have always been a little fascintated about Japan. So I have started to pray about taking a vision trip to Japan in the spring of 2010. I have asked my mom to take this journey with me. We are both praying about it and would like your support as we listen for God's answer.
